Facebook became a number one social media platform that really helped President Rodrigo Duterte win his presidency last May 2016 eletions and against Philippine biased media who wanted to put him down. This is where all Duterte supporters have a strong connection to one another, even one is poor or rich for as long you are a Facebook user, one has a voice.

In a blog post of Mr. Alon Calinao Dy, he said "Thanks to Facebook because it give poor people a strong voice to say what they really want. They want a real change, so they decided to support President Duterte's advocacy. Whoever wants to intimidate Duterte supporters, it is because they don't like the current administration."

But today's news, Filipino readers have lost confidence to some paid media particularly those who had tried to circulate fake news against President Rodrigo Duterte. They had seen this before before and during May elections last year.

I don't think there is a problem on social media. Although it is true that there are a lot of fake news out there, but who started these social media trolls. I don't think it comes from Duterte supporters. Of course, it started from some Philippine biased media who wanted to tarnish the good image of the president in and outside the country.
