Former Interior and Local Government Secretary Rafael Alunan on Thursday said that God has given the Filipinos answered prayers with the Presidency of Rodrigo Duterte.
Alunan in his Facebook page said that since the Ramos era, he and his family and friends would ask questions on when change will come for the country.
He said often would they question why the country can;'t have good leaders, can't stop being mendicants, doesn't have discipline or a strong backbone, nor stop the injustice that is happening. "Well, now we have what we wished for.
God heard our prayers and gave us PRRD, who says what he means and does what he says, with the flag wrapped around his heart." he wrote. He said Duterte was making life better for the 100 million Filipinos, cursing the mess that he has seen.
"Sure, he's not perfect. But the important thing is that he's doing something about the things we've been complaining about for so long. If he's veering off-course, cite it. If he's taking things too far, say so. " he said.
He said that Duterte despite his flaws, listens to the criticisms towards him and adjusts to them. He said everybody makes mistakes. Alunan claimed that calling for the ousting of the president is anti-Filipino and is treachery "at its best".
Why don't we thank the Good Lord for our blessings and work with him for the betterment of the country and ourselves? Let's think pro-Filipino and the common good.
Real friends and allies are welcome to help out. He said that when we unite as a nation, "we can smash the forces of division and forge ahead."
